'caida libre'

Tras el partido contra el Hercules en diciembre llego el burro infame de Pete y veremos prontisimo lo que tiene en su bolsillo por esta semana, al salir del aparcamiento hablaba de 'un barco' y 'un iceberg', ya veremos.......Termine la redaccion contra el Torrellano con el refran '¿adonde vamos? y me parece que tendre que repetirlo. Por desgracia me voy al quirifano en Valencia esta semana y mi tiempo es apretado, pues en estilo de 'AS'.....

LO BUENO......

1. La decepcion mostrada por los jugadores (especialmente Manu y Miramar) al final del partido. Yo creo que la palabra es 'abatido' y personalmante estaria mucho mas preocupado si el equipo salio desde el vestuario con sonrisas.

2. En mi juicio el equipo dio la cara y no nos falto el esfuerzo sino el marcador y la clasificacion dice muchisimo.

3. El apoyo dado al equipo de los viejos conocidos - Antonio (vuelve por favor Toni.....), Paquito, Paco Salero, Manolo, Jose Escribano, Theo, Jaime Selles y otros. Sin embargo se nota la ausencia de otros ¿a lo mejor al partido en Murcia? Si yo fuera futbolista esta ausencia estaria nada mas que una bofetada y al mismo tiempo una falta de repeto a Carrete cuando necestita apoyo.

4. En fin............¡¡LA BOMBA!! Dentro esta semana a Paco Ribes va a llegar una oferta interestisima lo cual dare esperanza a todos los aficionados de la UD Altea. Esto no es ninguna broma sino un hecho.Paco, p.f. llame cuanto antes 651 732 948 Matthew.

LO MALO......

1. La derrota de ayer es totalmente inaceptable. No caben dudas, a perder a un equipo con un pie en la Primera Regional y un equipo con solo cuatro victorias durante todo la temporada es un desastre. ¿Como perdemos contra el Finestrat dada los jugadores que tengamos? Al final del partido uno de los jugadores me dije 'la culpa es con todos' y tecnicamente no se equivoca aunque quedan muchas preguntas concretamente en cuanto a la alieanacion.Josep no tuvo su dia contra el  Torellano (y para mi suba la banda pocas veces...) sino este es el mismo Josep cuyo ha jugado a un buen nivel todo la temporada y el mismo Josep cuando colocamos como lider de esta liga. De repente Carrete no cuenta con el y Angel (uno de los mejores jugadores este año) es el lateral izquierdo.......por 45 minutos....cuando hasta Carrete se da cuanta del lio delante de los ojos y ¡vuelve Josep! Piter es un buen futbolista aunque su sitio es la banda derecha y esto es obvio. Proximo - Raul & Vicente. Lo siento pero estos jugadores no son de la Preferente sino la Primera Regional. A lo mejor un poco duro`pero es un hecho. ¿Quien tomo la decision a llevar a Vicente al club? Hace un año tuvimos a Mario, Miguel Angel y Santi Peñalva y cada uno es un año de luz mejor. Otra vez, duro,pero es la verdad. De hecho , dije que andaria hasta Polop para llevar a Parra, Pascual et al pues ya me voy a nadar a Paraguay para sacar a SuperMario. Mister, ¿porque la falta de fe en Mario durante la temporada 2006-07?

2. BALON PARADO - Es raro cuando marcamos desde esta jugada entonces hay que practicarlas durante las sesiones de entrenamiento.

3. LIDERAZGO - Lo de los tres capitanes se me hizo un poco raro (aunque sea comun en España) pues ya es el tiempo por los pesos pesados dentro del vestuario - Miramar, Bazaga y Tomas - a hablar con Paco Ribes y Carrete cuanto antes. Ya la distancia entre los jugadores y el entrenador es clara y si no hay cambio veo derrota tras derrota en los jornadas siguientes. Jose Carrete es un caballero y ha llevado prestigio al club dado su record como jugador de la Seleccion y con VCF tambien pero seguramente puede ver lo que pasa aqui y tiene que trater de arreglar este lio, empezando con una charla con los capitanes. Nunca olvidaremos de los actuaciones contra La Nucia hace un año y las victorias contra el Monovar y el propio Finestrat en octubre pero cada semana el silencio desde el banquillo de el y Diego nos parece mas y mas extraño y tambien iritante. Sinceramente. ya es la hora de hablar mientras que espero la llamada de Paco Ribes.

ALTEA - Tomas 6, Miramar 5, Bazaga 5, Gallego 5, Angel 7, Piter 4, Vicente 0, Raul 1, Christian 5, Carrasco 2, Diego 6

'broken dreams'

Woeful UD Altea managed to plumb new depths against bottom-placed Cd Finestrat never reaching the heady heights of last week's display described by your trusty scribe (Matthew Bell) as being 'garbage'. Finestrat have spent the whole season in the relegation places and entered the game with one win since Decembe but as soon as Carrete's team rolled into town there was only going to be one winner.

Make no mistake about it, the home side thoroughly deserved their win and should have won by more against a supine Altea who will struggle to play worse. This week's selection madness saw the team's most creative player (Angel) shunted to left back, a promising right winger (Piter) marooned for 45 minutes on the left wing while the continually inept Raul doing precisely nothing on the right wing while to the horror of one and all Vicente Zidane (sic) was given the task of 'patrolling' the midfield. In 5 years of watching Preferente football i will never see a worse player, a player so utterly out of his depth as to defy belief. Quite what the 'management' saw in this burro would give even ProfessorStephen Hawking a hard time to explain.

Altea started (relatively) brightly with Domenech and Carrasco linking to good effect although as every second passed the Black Hole that passes for the midfield grew ever wider and deeper, although unfortunately Vicente managed to avoid this one way ticket to the asteroid belt. On the rare occasions that the ball has come to his feet Piter has looked a decent prospect and from a cross of his both Domenech & Raul had goalbound efforts saved by the local Jim Montgomery. From this sortie the home side waltzed through Altea's 'midfield' and from the ensuing corner a near post header flew past Tomas to give Finestrat a deserved lead (1-0, 25 mins). Needless to say the scorer was unmarked and the game was now over as Altea's players argued amongst one another as the local side missed two more gilt-edged chances. Altea's only hope was from a set piece scenario, and the typically gutsy had a 30 yard free kick tipped over moments before the break.

Even the myopic Carrete had seen enough of the hopeless Vicente and he was replaced by the troubled Chole while Angel was moved 15 yards forward as Josep's exile lasted a mere 45 minutes. The changes did improve Altea as they began to dominate play but the Finestrat keeper had barely a save to make which speaks volumes. I cannot fault the effort of the Altea players but the lack of guile on the pitch and the total lack of guidance off it was staggering. Finestrat will almost certainly be relegated but they chased very ball and won 85% of the tackles and whilst Bazaga was a touch unfortunate to be concede a penalty (which was successfully converted, 2-0 70 mins) the result was correct and deserved.
